BETSY T.
Her long, amusing career path has included writing feature articles and
corporate communications, reviewing and cooking in restaurants, being
a disk jockey, producing a show at The Improv, executive-producing two
Brave Combo albums, surviving dot.com.munism, writing scripts for stage
and screen - not software - and schmoozing celebrities. (Variety is the
spice of life and is absolutely essential to a writer's survival.) She
earned a BFA in Communications and a half-MBA at SMU, but gleaned her
wisdom from the School of Bizarre Life Experiences. (Ask her about Venezuelan
prisons and the Shack Up Inn!)

Up until March of last year I was the Director of the Art Studio at Origin
Systems, a computer game company specializing in persistent-state world,
multiplayer games for the PC. Now I'm back in school to earn a master's
degree in Geography at UT so I can go into the field of wildlife
conservation. In my spare time, I enjoy my pets, my friends, camping out,
the cinema, travel, personal revelations, and making music and art.
