Festivities start right after the conference with a Happy hour at 6:00pm The Roast will begin at 8:30 at the fabulux Club de Ville (9th and Red River) Come join humorist Heather Gold and a bevy of industry commentators, survivors and special guests as they call out (if not kill) the goose that lays the golden eggs: the Internet Industry. The History of the World Wide Web Wank will be roasted by participants and special guests, including: Liz Belile poet fantastique, author of Polishing the Bayonet, the spoken word CD "Your Only Other Option is Surgery" and creator of Gynomite: named Houston's Best Reading Series. Paulina Borsook is the author of the forthcoming "Cyberselfish: A critical romp through the terribly libertarian culture of the high-tech." As she said in her official bio for "The Best of Suck" years ago, she is basically a very nice girl who doesn't understand why everyone gets so upset with what she writes. Heather Gold (shifttv, newmedia, SJ Mercury News) is a cross-platform humourist, web war veteran, and spends her extra time being all things to all people.
